Chef Nick Macri’s Summer Tomato


  1. Wait for summer.
  2. Get a tomato off a vine.
  3. Shut up for two minutes.
  4. Slice the tomato in half.
  5. Sprinkle salt on one half of the tomato.
  6. Rub two halves of the tomato together, eat and enjoy.

Note:  One may also substitute fresh summer cucumber for tomato.
